These gorgeous votive candles are made from 100% pure, all-natural beeswax that is source locally from Berwyn Heights, MD. My beeswax never has a smoky or chemical smell. The wicking I use is 100% cotton square braided, and it is free of any metals, including zinc core. I never add chemicals, additives, preservatives, or colorants to my beeswax. I can add Lavender essential oil if requested for a relaxing scent. These candles are ideal for people with fragrance sensitivities and allergies - no more headaches or sneezing from overwhelming scents!

Under the proper burning conditions, beeswax is naturally smoke and soot-free. The first time you light your candle is the most important and sets the stage for how your candle will burn for the remainder of its life. Ensure you burn your votive candle long enough to establish a wax pool that should reach the edge. Votives are not a self-contained candle and require a candle holder.

When lighting your beeswax votive, it is best to hold the flame at the base of the wick until an intense burn is established. Beeswax is a much harder wax than other types of wax used in candles, and it can take a few moments longer to get a wax pool started. Avoid lighting the candle from the very end of the wick.
